Automatic Weld & Assembly Slider Operator
1st Shift:
Starting Pay: $18.00 / hr
6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Monday thru Thursday
*38 hours worked + 2 hours holiday = 40 hours
2nd Shift:
Starting Pay: $20.00 / hr
4:30 PM to 2:30 AM
Monday thru Thursday
*38 hours worked + 2 hours holiday = 40 hours
Position Summary:
Welds together metal components of products such as trailer suspension parts, movable subframes, etc., with electric arc-welding equipment. Performs daily adjustments such as adjusting wire speed and voltage. Manually guides gun along weld line, maintaining the length of arc and speed of movement to form, specifies depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle. Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Positions and clamps workpiece together or assemble them in jig or fixture. Operate air hoist to move parts. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Functions:
Slide parts onto lifting table, put parts into jig, operate jig/fixture controls, check for conformity, manipulate welding gun to tack/weld components together, operate a buffer/grinder, operate hoist to move parts to the conveyor line. Safety-sensitive functions include hoist operation and use of high voltage equipment such as welders. Must be able to lift or move over 100 lbs.
